About Claire

I trained at the Oxford College of Equine Physical Therapy and gained a diploma in animal manipulation in 2006. I then set up my own business which is going from strength to strength. Most of my work now comes from referrals and recommendations.

My passion is horses. I have ridden since a 5 year old and owned my first pony at the age of 8. I currently have 3 of my own horses and do freelance riding/exercising/competing for owners.

Henry was a horse in a million in my eyes. He was sadly PTS following a fracture to his pedal bone in December 2010. He was a 16hh IDxTB and competed at affiliated BE Novice Eventing and Riding Club activities. Henry represented the Yarm & District Saddle Club at 5 Nationals: BRC Open Hunter Trial Championships in 2002 (Team 8th overall), BRC Novice Horse Trial Championships in 2002 (Team 8th, Ind 6th), BRC Open Horse Trial Championships 2005 (Team 6th, Ind 6th), 2006 (Team 10th, Ind 10th), 2008 (team 13th, Ind 13th) and 2010 BRC Intermediate Horse Trial Championships (Ind 8th).

I also have a 13.2 Dales/Fell X 12yo mare called Ebony. She is my daughters pony and is a lovely allrounder. Her and Kate have done almost everything over the last 8 years together.

Jake, is a 17hh ex point-to-pointer. He is a 10yo TB and has been reschooled, retrained and has evented at BE90 and BE100. He qualified for and competed in the BRC National Novice Horse Trial Championships in 2010 finishing a very credible 10th place. He has just qualifed again for the BRC National Novice Horse Trial Championships for this year which are held in August 2012.

My new horse is Dennis. He is a 17.1 IDxTB. I bought him as an unbroken 4 yo and he is now broken and working well. He has competed in riding club activites and also BE90. He will step up to BE100 this season.
